La più bella del mondo: reasons to fall in love with Italian – with Stefano Jossa

In his book La più bella del mondo Stefano Jossa tells stories about rhymes, invented languages, impossible riddles, poets in Sanremo and meeting Dante for lunch. Through these stories, the readers can discover how much they truly love the Italian language, its structures, the way it evolved and adapted through the centuries and – above all – its literature, which is what makes Italian a ‘living being’.

Stefano Jossa is a literary critic and lecturer at the Royal Holloway, University of London.
