Italo, a stray dog, befriends Meno, a young boy from the Sicilian village of Scicli who is living a lonely childhood after his mother’s death. Unfortunately the boy’s father Antonio, Mayor of Scicli, has a zero-tolerance policy on stray dogs in town. While Antonio is stuck between trying to find a connection with his son and overcoming grief by diving straight into his work, Italo wreaks havoc in the streets of Scicli and ends up facilitating unexpected changes in the lives of locals.
