New York, 1943. In a luxurious restaurant, Sicilian emigrant Arturo falls in love with Flora, but she’s already promised to the son of an important New York mafia boss. To marry her, Arturo must travel all the way to Sicily and obtain her father’s approval. Poor and without means, Arturo has only one way to reach the island: enlisting in the U.S. Army, which is preparing for the landing in Sicily, an event that will forever change the history of Sicily, Italy, and the Mafia.
The film will be screened in Italian with English subtitles.
