The Italian Institute of Culture is pleased to renew its collaboration with the prestigious literary event International Literature Festival Dublin, supporting the participation of two esteemed Italian writers: Emanuela Anechoum and Roberto Saviano.
On an island of storytellers and in a city where books are treasured, the International Literature Festival Dublin (ILFD) is Ireland’s leading literary event. Since 1998, it has brought together the world’s finest writers to enthral, engage and excite audiences.
Among them, on 22 May at 6:00 pm, at the Synge Pavilion (Merrion Square Park), Emanuela Anechoum will present her novel Tangerinn, dedicated to a displaced generation. The author will be in conversation with Naoise Dolan about her remarkable and perceptive debut, exploring themes of home, identity and belonging.
On 23 May at 8:00 pm, also at the Synge Pavilion (Merrion Square Park), Roberto Saviano will present his latest book, Shout It Out! 28 Portraits for a Committed World. The book is a journey of discovery and surprise, as well as an urgent call for people to stand up for themselves and for what they believe in. Bringing together figures who have most inspired him alongside those whose actions have been among the most deplorable, the author moves from voices of courage, such as Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi and whistleblower Edward Snowden, to stark examples of complicity and oppression, tracing a provocative moral map of our world.
