Yesterday, the Italy–IRENA Action for Climate Toolkit (I-ACT) event took place at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Dublin, reaffirming Italy’s commitment to environmental education and the engagement of young people in climate action.

The event was organised by the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture in Dublin, in collaboration with the Society for International Affairs (SOFIA) at Trinity College Dublin. The initiative aimed to strengthen the training of young leaders in the fields of climate change, energy transition, and sustainable development through a peer-to-peer approach.

During the event, the I-ACT educator selected for Ireland, Nguyen Van Toan, a Management & Sustainability student at the University of Galway, delivered a lecture entitled “From Participant to Peer Education: How Young People Can Lead Climate and Energy Action through I-ACT”, focusing on the role of young people and employment opportunities in the green sector.

The event represented an opportunity for discussion on youth training and participation in climate policy and the energy transition.

Thank you to all participants for their enthusiasm and contribution to the initiative.
