From the 11th to the 20th of August 2023 – Waterford Walls returns next August with an articulated programme of ten days of street art, music, workshops and guided tours.
Thanks to the Italian Institute of Culture’s support, Italian artist Chekos Art (Francesco Ferreri) will participate in the 2023 edition of Waterford Walls Festival, Ireland’s largest international Street Art Festival which will take place from the 11th to the 20th of August 2023.
Before the Festival, during a short artistic residency at the IIC, Ferreri will work on a site-specific work that he will donate to our Institute. Born in Lecce, South Italy, Chekos Art is a graphic artist, muralist and street artist.
He works in the field of urban art and freestyling and has been creating street art for about 20 years. Chekos Art experiments mainly with stencils and free painting but also with spray, collage, drawing, and video installations.
