“La febbre” (2005) is a film by Alessandro D’Alatri.
Mario Bettini (Fabio Volo), a thirty-year-old surveyor from the province, is a young man full of ideas, enthusiastic about life and full of desire to live it. He has a dream in his heart: to open a restaurant with his friends. For the restaurant, he is willing to live a portion of temporary life, accepting to wear clothes different from his own. So, when a letter of employment arrives, unexpectedly, to the municipality, Mario decides to accept the job, even if contrary to his spirit. But he encounters the squalor of bureaucracy, subterfuge, greyness, humiliation. But the meeting with a girl, Linda (Valeria Solarino), opens up other existential perspectives and gives him the opportunity to dream again…
