The conference aims to explore the Italian forms – including fiction and non-fiction, poetry, visual arts – of imagination and representation of spaces and places at the time of the Anthropocene.
Topics will range from Italian narratives in literature, art and music to environmental activism, from the dynamics of place-making and orientation in a changing territory, to narratives and representations of borders and migrations in the Anthropocene in Italy.
Space also for spatial memory and a sense of place, materialist and ecopoetic ecocriticism, postcolonial and ecofeminist criticism. The Conference is organized by Jacopo Turini (UCC) – Marco Amici (UCC) – Silvia Ross (UCC) – Paolo Saporito (UCC) – Barbara Siller (UCC) with the support of the Italian Institute of Culture in Dublin.
