“Casa del Vento” is an Italian band, from Arezzo, with a strong bond to Irish music, which has inspired many of their compositions. Songs such as ‘Treno per Galway’, ‘Inishmore’, ‘Kenmare’, ‘Pioggia nera’ embody precise musical and geographical, poetic and literary references from a land that has represented so much to them. The two frontmen of the band, Francesco Moneti e Luca Lanzi, will offer two free acoustic meetings/concerts on Thursday 10 October in Cork and Friday 11 October in Dublin, and will explore their artistic journey through the themes of the Resistance and literature.
The meetings, organised by the Italian Institute of Culture together with the Italian Department of the UCC, will be a unique opportunity to meet the musicians and be told about the genesis of some of their most famous pieces.
