She has been the recipient of the PEN Renato Poggioli prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and awards from the Italian Foreign Ministry and the American Academy of Arts and Letters. In 2023, Ann Goldstein’s translation of Italo Calvino’s essays titled The Written World and the Unwritten World was published by Penguin.
