“La telefonista/Sola in casa” – Two single acts by Dino Buzzati – Scenic interpretation of the theatrical pieces in Italian

Scenic interpretation of the theatrical pieces “La telefonista” (1964) and “Sola in casa” (1958) in Italian.

A unique occasion to listen to two theatrical monologues by Dino Buzzati.

“La telefonista” (1964), starring Antonella Morassutti, is one of the four single acts that see a woman as a protagonist and tells the story of a hotel telephone operator. Her story and sentimental life are narrated in an ironic and realistic way.

“Sola in casa” (1958), performed by Rossella Raimondi, is the intense and surreal monologue of Madama Iris, “certified fortune-teller and palm reader” that, on a gloomy and rainy evening, is terrorised by a mysterious serial killer.

On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of Dino Buzzati’s death, this event is organised in collaboration with Associazione Internazionale Dino Buzzati, the University College Dublin, and the Italian Institute of Culture Dublin.

Performance in Italian. Duration of the show: about 60 min. A glass of Italian wine will be offered at the endo of the show.
