25th Week of the Italian Language in the World – ITALIAN AND BOOKS: MEETING WITH AUTHOR CHIARA MEZZALAMA, interviewed by Enrica Ferrara as part of the Italian Book Club – In Italian and English

MEZZALAMA

Italian literature often takes us beyond national borders and into the lives of people from different cultures. One such story is that of Grace, a rebellious girl from a wealthy, racist, and conventional American family, who discovers dance and jazz at a young age. Growing up in the midst of the artistic revolution of the 1960s and 1970s, she immerses herself in it with creativity and talent, passionately embracing postmodern dance, but she soon realizes she feels unfit.

“L’inadatta” (Nutrimenti 2025) is title of the book that author Chiara Mezzalama will present, in conversation with Enrica Ferrara, moderator of our Italian Book Club, on Thursday 16 October, at the Institute.

The event will be held in both Italian and English. A toast will be offered to participants.

Limited seating available. Free registration on Eventbrite  or through our website.
