The film, based on the personal memories of the director Ettore Scola, shows the first years of Fellini’s career: his arrival in Rome, the first assignments as a vignettist for the editorial office of the satirical paper Marc’Aurelio (where he met Scola himself), until his first job in the film industry as a screenwriter.
