With “Ma che colpa ne abbiamo noi” (“It Can’t Be All Our Fault ”, 120′), a 2003 film by director and actor Carlo Verdone, we get to the heart of the “comedy” trend of the Autumn cycle of “Lunedì al Cinema 2023”.
The film tells the story of eight people who attend the same psychotherapy group led by an elderly analyst. During a session, the professional dies. After an unsuccessful search for a new therapist, the seven remaining participants decide to try their hand at a sort of self-managed group therapy, which will be conducted in turns in the participants’ homes.
The film will be screened in Italian with English subtitles and preceded by an analysis of the context and the director’s work.
