PLOT: In the late 1960s, in Cinisi, a town in Sicily not far from Palermo, the mafia controls daily life, contracts for the “Punta Raisi” airport, and the drug trade. This is where the story of a mafia family unfolds—the Impastato family, who are related to a cousin living in America, known as Anthony. Peppino, a joyful child, is the beloved one in the family, but his adolescence coincides with the protests of 1968, making him a rebellious young man who will no longer tolerate his father’s submission to the mafia family.
