760 years ago, Dante Alighieri was born, and the Italian Institute of Culture in Dublin honors him with a guided tour dedicated to him and his “grand villa”: Florence. We will explore the poet’s birthplace and his house-museum, accompanied by Mario Bernardi from The Grand Tour platform. We’ll dive into the streets of medieval Florence, where Dante grew up as a student, politician, and, most notably, as a lyrical poet. However, from his beloved city, he exiled for life.
