On Wednesday, April 8, we will welcome Romana Petri, shortlisted for the Premio Strega 2023 with her novel Rubare la notte. She will present her new book, La ragazza di Savannah (Mondadori, 2025), dedicated to the life of Flannery O’Connor, one of the greatest voices of twentieth-century literature. The meeting will be moderated by Enrica Ferrara.

Romana Petri lives in Rome. Among her works: Ovunque io sia (2008), Ti spiego (2010), Le serenate del Ciclone (2015, Super Mondello and Mondello Giovani awards), Il mio cane del Klondike (2017), Pranzi di famiglia (2019, The Bridge award), Figlio del lupo (2020, Comisso award and Anna Maria Ortese-Rapallo special award), Cuore di furia (2020), La rappresentazione (2021), Mostruosa maternità (2022), Rubare la notte (2023, finalist shortlist of the Premio Strega) and Tutto su di noi (2024). Translator and critic, she collaborates with Io Donna and Corriere della Sera. Her novels have been translated into England, the United States, France, Spain, Serbia, the Netherlands, Germany, and Portugal (where she has lived for a long time).
