A few minutes before the show begins, each “actor” is given a police uniform and a headset device. When the curtain rises, the “actors” must meticulously carry out the orders they are given over the earphones. These commands are received individually. Each policeman learns his orders in real time. Each action is to be done within the time defined by the order.
This is the visionary and apocalyptic plot of “Bros” by Romeo Castellucci, a recognized Italian theatre director and set designer. The show, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute, is part of the Dublin Theatre Festival 2022.
