Spoglia di Sillabe

by Aurora Coppola

The collection comprises poems from all the stages of Aurora’s life but it’s also an introspection of the life she lived in Ireland since she came to stay in Dublin back in 2006. The poems are inspired from memories, dreams, nightmares but are also take from existing poems made by Aurora’s favourite poets and writers such as Alda Merini’s Il depresso for her poem Susina  Copza or other pieces of work dedicated to real people like in the poem A Grazia or Particella di Dio dedicated to Astrophysics Prof. Margherita Hack. This collection of poems can be seen as an emotional overview of Aurora Coppola as an artist but also as a human being who considers herself as fragile and naked but alive as everyone else. Finally this is the poet’s choice to come out of her shell and connect with the world.Aurora Coppola wash born in Empoli (Florence) on 21st March 1981 but she lived best part of her life in S. Miniato (Pisa). She is also very interested in Celtic culture, this is because of the positive influence she had from the Irish culture she got to know deeply after she moved to Ireland. She started writing poems at the age of 14. She continued writing but without publishing anything until 2014 when she first released Spoglia di Sillabe with Europa Edizioni. Aurora is looking to express herself through her writing and to deliver a clear message to the reader so she can connect with her audience in a simple and straight way.RSVP to iicdublino@esteri.it
