Monday 18 November, at 6.30pm, we invite you to the Odeon Point Square Cinema in Dublin to a screening of the film ‘The Truffle Hunters – I Cacciatori di tartufi’ (2020, 84′, directed by Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw) the documentary about Italian truffle hunters, produced by Luca Guadagnino, which has enchanted American critics.
The film was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, won a Directors Guild award and was nominated for a Producers Guild award.
The documentary follows a group of men in Piedmont in search of the unobtainable Alba Truffle. They are guided by a secret culture handed down through generations and by the noses of their beloved, expertly trained dogs.
It will also be an opportunity to taste some Italian specialities at the aperitif that will follow the screening.
