XVII WEEK OF ITALIAN LANGUAGE IN THE WORLD – Teatro Emigrato: “The Doctor’s Duty” by Luigi Pirandello

The TEATRO EMIGRATO (Dublin 2012) is a theatre group of “immigrants” in the Irish soil and was created to preserve its members’ cultural roots and language. They mainly organise mises en scène of Italian plays. For the 150th anniversary of Luigi Pirandello‘s birth, they will perform “The Doctor’s Duty”, a tragedy taken from the short story Il Gancio, in which Pirandello calls into question the right to intrude into other people’s lives.
