On Wednesday, October 22nd, the Italian Institute of Culture had the pleasure of hosting the Ambassador of Italy to Dublin, H.E. Mr. Nicola Faganello, who welcomed the young musicians taking part in the exchange and collaboration initiative between the Monteverdi Conservatory of Bolzano and the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM).
Students from all over the world took part in an intensive first week of masterclasses in Dublin, under the guidance of professors from the two prestigious institutions. The week in Dublin concluded on Friday the 24th of October with a performance by all participants in the beautiful White Recital Hall of the RIAM, offering the large audience an opportunity to appreciate the musical results of the study and joint work of these talented students.
This promising and exciting initiative—promoted and organised by Prof. Marco Bronzi, Director, and Prof. Giorgia Alessandra Brustia, Chair of Piano, from the Monteverdi Conservatory, together with Prof. Peter Tuite, Head of the Keyboard Faculty at RIAM, and supported by the Italian Institute of Culture—will continue this week in Bolzano with further days of masterclasses and new final performances in the South Tyrolean capital.
