The\u00a0Italian Book Club<\/strong>, presented\u00a0by Enrica Maria Ferrara<\/strong>, will explore three\u00a0books by Italian authors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the first meeting, the facilitator of the Book Club will introduce the book and give some information about its author. Then, each participant will have the chance to read aloud selected passages of the book.<\/p>\n

During the reading, aspects of the book\u2019s grammar, its language structures and its lexicon will be highlighted and explained by the facilitator, and participants will be encouraged to ask questions about the passages that they have found more challenging to read.<\/p>\n

During the second meeting, each participant will be encouraged to discuss the book and the facilitator will guide the conversation by asking questions about the book\u2019s characters, plot, message as well as its style and the overall enjoyment of their particular reading experience.<\/p>\n

It is likely that public conversations with one or more of the writers whose books have been selected for the Book Club will also be organized by the Italian Cultural Institute.<\/p>\n

Please note that for this course an advanced level of Italian is required.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Italian Book Club consists of 6 meetings of 2 hours each, for a total of 12 hours. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Classes\u00a0will have a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 16 participants and\u00a0will be ONSITE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Italian Book Club will meet on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, from 7th February to 15th May 2024. <\/strong>Please find below the detailed calendar.<\/p>\n
