His music, published by Rai Trade – Contemporary, has been performed in many European countries, the USA, Latin America, and Japan. As a performer of 20th Century and contemporary music, Colazzo has played numerous concerts in Italy, Europe and the USA, with particular interest in such composers as Mjaskovskij, Schuloff, Ustvolskaya, Lopes-Graça, and Mompou. A member of the research team of CESEM, Centro de Estudos de Sociologia e Estética Musical, at the Universidade Nova in Lisbon, he is professor of Composition at the Conservatory in Trento where he was director from 2005 to 2011. Since 2012 Colazzo has been a Faculty Member and artist in residence at the Italian School of Middlebury College in the United States of America.This evening’s programme addresses some of the best classical music produced during one of the most terrible conflict of all times and features the premiére of Colazzo’s new composition I fragorosi silenzi, la fine (2015).
