Giulia Ballaré Concert

As part of the Guitar Festival of Ireland the Italian Institute of Culture is pleased to present the performance of international prize-winning Italian guitarist Giulia Ballaré.Hugh Lane Gallery,Charlemont House Parnell Square NorthDublin 1  Admission is free with donations at the door Giulia Ballaré was 11 years old when was admitted to the Conservatory of Novara. From 2001 she continued her studies with M° Guido Fichtner. In 2009 shegraduated from the academic level 1st, with a thesis dedicated to the 12 studies of Villa -Lobos in the manuscript version of 1929. In 2012 obtained the academic degree of interpretation of the 2nd level with highest honors with a thesis on the complete works for guitar by Spanish composer Joaquin Turina. She has attended several master classes with internationally renowned teachers: Alberto Ponce, Pavel Steidl, Oscar Ghiglia, Lorenzo Micheli, David Russell, Marcin Dylla, François Laurent, Mauro Storti, Arturo Tallini, Claudio Marcotulli, Frank Bungarten, Maurizio Grandinetti and Walter Zanetti. In 2009, thanks to the Erasmus program, she studied flamenco guitar with Carlos Piñana in Murcia (Spain).Giulia Ballaré has won several national and international competitions. Since 2013 she has been a member of the SUPERNOVA project: an octet of young Italian guitarists led by M° Arturo Tallini.She cooperates with other artists such as the painter Sara Ruggeri and actress Elena Ferrari, suggesting interesting parallels between music and other art forms.
