Music of the Italian Renassaince - Anemos, Wind Quintet

On the occasion of the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition at the National Gallery of Ireland we present:Anna Govetto, flute Andrea Martinella, oboe Carlo Pinardi, clarinet Paolo Armato, horn Paolo Dreosto, bassoonThe Quintetto Anemos was established in 2008 by five young musicians from the Friuli region of Italy. They set themselves the task of exploring and performing the vast repertoire of compositions written for wind instruments from the XVIII century onwards. The unique programme includes compositions by Andrea and Giovanni Gabrieli, Benedetto Marcello, Tomaso Albinoni, and Darius Milhaud. Milhaud’s Chemineé du Roi Renè was written two hundred years after the Renaissance period, but Milhaud wrote this music as it would have been written at the end of the 15th century (under the kingdom of King Renè).Prices: €20/ €15 students and Members of the Italian Cultural Institute.For tickets contact The Friends Desk (@NGI) or The Friends Office - 016619877 -
