Join us at Dublin Makers for a day of outdoor activities around books, reading and getting creative.
Unleash your inner inventor at our European pop-up library during the great Dublin Makers event!
Give old books a second life, teach a new trick or two to your toddler and create a story in a brand new language.
Explore the creative potential of paper with our workshop: “Paper as a medium of creative expression”.
The facilitator, Ann-Marie Horgan (graduate and part-time tutor in NCAD), will introduce participants to paper as a flexible, strong, tactile, easily manipulated and instantly accessible material with its own aesthetic qualities. Participants will experiment with a myriad of paper construction techniques and will discover how paper presents us with the opportunity to create limitless variations of shape, form, texture, and pattern.
The European Summer Library is a collaboration between the libraries of the Alliance française, Goethe Institut, Istituto Italiano di Cultura and Instituto Cervantes in Dublin.
