Cinema dei Piccoli: Iqbal – Bambini senza paura

Il Cinema dei Piccoli is a series of screenings of contemporary Italian animation. A treat for the little ones, whether they want to polish up their Italian or just lose themselves in a great story on the big screen. From the magic of Pinocchio to children’s rights to the playful world of Gianni Rodari, children will get a taste of the best of contemporary Italian animation. The films will be screened on Fridays at 5 pm at the institute.

Iqbal – Bambini senza paura.

The plot of the film is based on Francesco D’Adamo’s bestseller “Iqbal” about the life of a Pakistani boy who has become a symbol of the fight against slavery and child labour.
A generous and smart boy with an innate sense of justice, Iqbal, falls victim of a cynical smuggler who recognizes Iqbal’s skills in weaving. The boy will find himself in the hands of a slave trader who forces him to work in his factory of carpets along with other children. But Iqbal is resourceful and brave and soon realizes he has to plan to escape with his new found friends.
