Performance by Nino Racco in occasion of the book launch "Staged Narratives/Narrative Stages - Essays on Italian Prose, Narrative and Theatre". Introduced by Prof. Joe Farrell

Performance by Nino Racco in occasion of the book launch

Join us for the launch of a volume of essays, edited by Enrica Maria Ferrara and Cormac Ó Cuilleanáin, exploring the dynamic intersection of storytelling and theatre. Eleven lively chapters engage with the theory and practice of drama and prose fiction, touching on modern masters such as Brecht, Churchill, Fo, Sciascia, Gadda, Consolo, Manzoni, Campanile, Pirandello, Pasolini, Eduardo and Testori.

Joe Farrell will illustrate the vast sweep of the book, before handing over to Nino Racco, living embodiment of the extraordinary Sicilian actor-cantastorie tradition. Nino's unforgettable one-man show, pushing voice and guitar to the limits of expression, will transport you to an epic world where story, history and drama converge.

Enrica Maria Ferrara is translator and Teaching Fellow of Trinity College Italian Department.
Cormac Ó Cuilleanáin is translator and retired professor from Trinity College Italian Department.

The event will be in English.
