An intense show inspired by the life of Rosa Balistreri, the unruly folk singer who became an icon of 20th century Sicily due to her hoarse voice charged with melancholy and her strong personality. Brought to life by the passionate Sicilian actor and playwright Tiziana Francesca Vaccaro, Terra di Rosa is both a coming-of-age tale and the love/hate story between a woman and her motherland, depicted in her songs, in the words of Leonardo Sciascia, as “violent, tender, bitter, sweet, full of ambiguities”.
