Action, animation, drama – expect this and more from Short Shorts, a selection of European short films from the home countries of seven members of EUNIC Ireland (European Union National Institutes for Culture).
Let Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, the UK and - obviously - Italy entertain you with a variety of genres from contemporary, cutting-edge filmmakers. The Italian short film selected by the IIC for this year's edition is Non mi posso lamentare (Can't Complain), by Elisa Billi and Cristiana Mecozzi.
The story unfolds within a very peculiar Complaints Office, a place outside of time, where people can go complain about their problems. In the elegant office, two employees sit at a desk full of documents and files and try to find the right solutions for the absurd problems of their customers. Their unusual sources of inspiration are a goldfish and a rabbit.
