Culture Night at the Opera 19:45

We are delighted to join Culture Night celebrations for 2020 with a new format of online and live events. On the night of Friday 18th September, the Italian Institute will take part in the European Culture Trail together with Austria, France, Germany and Spain, an initiative supported by EUNIC Ireland (European Union National Institutes for Culture).

If you want to enjoy the unique opportunity to enter the private grounds of Fitzwilliam Square to assist to a beautiful concert of fine repertoire of arias and duets from some of the most exquisite Italian Operas, please book one of the available spots on this website: hurry up as places are limited! Each live performance will consist of a mini-concert, lasting about 20 minutes, presenting extracts from Norma, Tancredi, Così Fan Tutte and La Bohème. Soprano singer Rachel Croash, mezzosoprano Gemma Ní Bhriain, and accompanist Annalisa Monticelli will be directed by Vivian J. Coates of Lyric Opera Ireland. Filming crew: Chiara Viale, Conor Tobin, Camin Agnew, and Kate Horvath.
A maximum of 15 people will be admitted to each concert. Booking is free.
For those unable to attend don’t worry, the event will be live-streamed through our Facebook channel.

The event has been made possible thanks to the support and collaboration of Fitzwilliam Square Association and Lyric Opera Ireland.
