Dantedì 2022 – Book presentation “The Oxford Handbook of Dante”

ATTENTION:

THE PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK “The Oxford Handbook of Dante”

WILL ONLY TAKE PLACE IN ONLINE MODE.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

On the occasion of Dantedì and in collaboration with the Department of Italian of Trinity College Dublin, the Italian Cultural Institute in Dublin will host a hybrid presentation of the important volume “The Oxford Handbook of Dante“, published in 2021 and edited by Manuele Gragnolati (Sorbonne), Elena Lombardi (Oxford), and Francesca Southerden (Oxford).

The volume, among other things, offers an original and innovative assessment of Dante’s oeuvre and brings together a plurality of voices from different countries, disciplines, and traditions. The event has been organized and will be moderated by Lorenzo Dell’Oso (Trinity College Dublin) and will have as respondents Igor Candido (Trinity College) and Daragh O’ Connell (University College Cork).

The event will also be an opportunity to discuss the importance of Dante in the twenty-first century, his relevance in today’s world, and the most effective ways of transmitting the beauty of his poetry to younger generations.

Online event in English. Free event, reservation required. Limited seats.
