POLI-TECH STORIES: Online lesson

The Politecnico di Milano meets the Italian Cultural Institute in Dublin.

Through its teachers, the Polytechnic tells stories of polytechnic culture: stories of science, technology and creativity, of goals achieved by its great masters, of future visions.

Born in Genoa in 1937 and graduated in architecture at the Politecnico di Milano in 1964, Renzo Piano is one of the great protagonists of international architectural culture, he won the Pritzker architecture prize in 1998 and since 2013 he is a life senator of the Italian Republic.

In 1981 he founded the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, which is now based in Genoa, Paris and New York. The lesson will deepen the work of RPBW, presenting its most characteristic themes through some of its most recent projects for museums and cultural spaces, such as the Museum of Natural Sciences in San Francisco, the extensions of the Gardner Museum in Boston and the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art in Oslo, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation in Athens.

Free online event.
