Duo "Sans Fil": "Connessioni" Free Concert for Harp and Piano

Date:

09/25/23

Duo

“Sans fil” is a project born from Angela Tursi and Susanna Curci’s minds: a pianist and a harpist who founded upon a sound and extensive training in classical music a shared desire to experiment and make their musical experience flourish by embracing a range of different artistic and musical styles. Their collaboration started in 2018 in the classroom of the Conservatory Nino Rota in Monopoli, and came to fruition with the release of Angela’s first album of original compositions (Blue Paintings, Angapp Music, 2018).

The will to bring together the sound of two instruments which are traditionally performed as solo acts, such as piano and harp, so similar in their range yet so different for timbre and intensity, led them to explore through their collaboration the possibility of composing by gradually discovering the alternative outputs inherent to this specific ensemble.

“Connessioni” (connections) is the title of the duo’s first album, produced and released in 2022 by INRI classic.

In 2023 the duo is responsible for the soundtrack of the documentary “Non è tutto rosa on the road” by Paolina Consiglieri and Alice de Girolamo, presented at Giffoni film festival.
