COVID-19: online classes

COVID-19: online classes

Dear students,

Here are a few updates on the latest measures put in place by the Irish Department of Health to contain the COVID-19 Virus.

The following measures will come into effect from Friday 13th March:

• schools, colleges and childcare facilities will close
• indoor mass gatherings of 100 people or more and outdoor mass gatherings of more than 500 people should be cancelled
• all State-run cultural institutions will close

To comply with the above guidelines, our Italian language classes will not take place at the Institute until further notice. All classes will be moved on-line starting from Monday the 30th of March.

You will be able to join your teacher and classmates for a virtual lesson, directly from your home, following the original timetable and calendar for the course you are enrolled in.

We will keep you posted with any detail on how to register and find your online class. We will use Zoom, a platform you can easily access through any device (computer, laptop, tablet, mobile phone) with the following features:

• internet connection
• a screen large enough for you to comfortably read the material
• built-in or plugged-in speakers, microphone and camera.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you need further details or clarifications.
