We are delighted to invite you to a special Bloomsday celebration in Galway, dedicated to the legacy of James Joyce and his muse, Nora Barnacle.
The event is organised by the Galway Tour Guide Association with the support of the James Joyce Centre and the Wild Atlantic Way.
Taking place on Friday, 19 June, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, this unique experience will offer participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Joyce and Nora through a rich programme of cultural, literary and culinary events.
The day begins at 11:00 am with the James Joyce & Nora Barnacle Walking Tour, departing from the Pádraic Ó Conaire statue in Eyre Square.
At 1:00 pm, guests will be welcomed to Caprice Restaurant, 1 Church Lane, for an exclusive Ulysses-inspired brunch, featuring flavours and atmospheres that evoke Joyce’s celebrated masterpiece.
Throughout the event, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the Nora Barnacle House Museum, located at 8 Bowling Green.
To fully embrace the spirit of the era, guests are encouraged to wear Edwardian-style attire.
Vintage costumes and accessories can be rented or purchased from Planet Retro Vintage, allowing visitors to enjoy an authentic Joycean experience.
