The Irish National Opera continues its collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture with the aim of spreading lyric opera belonging to the Italian tradition.

The next production of 2022 is “Maria Stuarda” by Gaetano Donizetti.

Monday 30th May at 7pm INO artistic Director Fergus Sheil, together with journalist and musicologist Michael Lee, will explain the context and behind-the-scenes of bringing this opera to the stage: a story of two queens, one catholic and Scottish,
