For the fourth autumn appointment of the “Lunedì al Cinema” series we will present the film “Buongiorno, notte” (2003) by director Marco Bellocchio, a film with a historical-social theme that, by mixing novelisation with original television documents of the 70’s, recalls the human drama of the statesman Aldo Moro – murdered in 1978 – and the doubt that he had made its way into Chiara, one of the terrorists of the Red Brigades who kidnapped him.
The plot is loosely taken from the 1998 book “The Prisoner” by former Red Brigade member Anna Laura Braghetti.
The film will be screened in Italian with English subtitles and preceded by an analysis of the context and the director’s work.
