In honor of the meeting with author Donatella Di Pietrantonio, on May 11 at 6:00 PM the film The Arminuta, directed by Giuseppe Bonito and based on the author’s Premio Campiello–winning novel of the same name, will be screened at the Institute.
August 1975. A thirteen-year-old girl is returned to the family she did not know she belonged to. Suddenly she loses everything from her previous life: a comfortable home and the exclusive affection reserved for an only child, and finds herself in a foreign world barely touched by progress and having to share the space of a small, dark house with five other siblings.
