On Thursday 16 November 2023, the exhibition of 15 educational panels in English and Italian illustrating the figure of Pietro Vannucci, a Renaissance painter known as “Il Perugino”, will be on display on the 3rd floor of the UCD School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistic, thanks to the collaboration with the UCD Italian Department.
The exhibition – already on in Galway and Cork Universities – includes the reproduction of a series of paintings and captions that tell the story of the painter, active in Florence during the Medicis period, between the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th Century, where Verrocchio, Ghirlandaio, Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo, Raphael and Michelangelo also worked.
The materials are designed and created by Stefano Baldi and exhibited for the occasion in various IIC locations around the world.
