PAOLO DI PAOLO PRESENTS HIS BOOK “ROMANZO SENZA UMANI” – In the context of the Italian Book Club

PAOLO DI PAOLO

Wednesday 28 February  2024 at 6.30pm

Italian Institute of Culture, Pavilion Hall

In our era in which artificial intelligence threatens to oust writers made of flesh and blood, and the human being seems to have lost centrality with respect to the increasingly urgent demands of the environmental emergency, Paolo Di Paolo has written a novel that puts humans back at the centre, in close dialogue with the environmental and technological “other”.

During a meeting at the Italian Institute of Culture, the author, in conversation with Enrica Maria Ferrara (TCD), will retrace the themes and ideas of his latest book “Romanzo senza umani” (Feltrinelli, 2023).

Di Paolo was born in Rome in 1983. Finalist in 2003 at the Italo Calvino Award and the Campiello Giovani Award, he is the author of numerous novels published by Feltrinelli. He has written for the theater and he is the author of children’s books. He writes for “la Repubblica”, “L’Espresso” and “Vanity Fair”. He hosts the broadcast “La lingua batte” on Rai Radio 3. His works have been translated into several languages.

The event, in Italian with English translation, is free with booking required on this page or Eventbrite.
