Thursday 13 March 2025 6.30 p.m., Italian Institute of Culture – Pavilion Hall
We are delighted to host Franco Faggiani, author of the novel ‘L’inventario delle nuvole’ (Fazi, 2023), for a meeting with readers at our Institute.
In his novel set in the early 1900s, Faggiani reconstructs with extraordinary attention to detail a particular landscape and an unusual trade that many still remember: the harvesting of pels, the hair, which, carefully worked during the winter by women in the mountains of Piedmont, was resold in the spring to the ateliers of the large border cities to make wigs, which were still in great demand at the time.
A gripping but also moving story that confirms the author’s great talent in describing mountain environments while managing to move his readers.
This meeting, moderated by Enrica Ferrara, will be followed by a small wine reception.
The event will be in Italian and English.
